COVID Priority Populations
The initial priority populations presented on this page are communities in Orange County that have been, and remain, at greatest risk for COVID-19. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has specifically identified the following disproportionately affected populations: African American, Latino, and Indigenous and Native American people, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and other people of color; members of religious minorities; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people; people with disabilities; people who live in rural communities; people over the age of 65, and people otherwise adversely affected by persistent poverty or inequality.
Over time, the HCA will develop similar overviews for additional populations. You can find the original CDC grant documentation here.
